Incorrect form is one of the primary reasons for injuries for fitness enthusiasts. Coupled with the 2nd major reason for injuries, over exertion, there lies the perfect formula for injury. The drive to see results and achieve goals can sometimes overshadow common sense to use proper form. Consider dropping back in the amount of weight lifted, repetitions, distance or speed and as stated before check your form so that you build your new physique correctly with proper posture and bodily movement. Also consider adding flexibility movements to your fitness regime to increase your range of motion. With better form and greater flexibility, you will see your results just as fast and spend less time out of training due to pain or injury. Remember to make notes in your training journal on corrections and injuries. Should you ever need to consult with a physician on a sport-related injury you want to have a training journal as a point of reference of changes to amount of weight lifted, body movement and/or routine that might lead to the discovery of the origin of an injury.
